Hi Giggers,
At FastGig, we are committed to building a fair and rewarding platform where great work is recognised.
From 15 July 2026, completed shifts that are not rated by employers will receive an automatic rating of 3.8 stars, instead of the current 4.0 stars. Employer-submitted ratings will remain unchanged, with employers continuing to rate giggers from 1 to 5 stars based on their actual performance.
Why are we making this change?
We want our rating system to better reflect and reward demonstrated performance.
Previously, automatically assigned ratings of 4.0 stars meant that giggers who consistently go above and beyond could be less distinguishable from those whose shifts were completed satisfactorily but were not actively reviewed by employers.
By adjusting the auto-rating to 3.8 stars, we can better recognise giggers who consistently earn strong employer ratings, ensure ratings more accurately reflect employer feedback, and create a clearer distinction for exceptional performers who deliver outstanding experiences shift after shift.
What does this mean for you?
Employer ratings will continue to contribute directly to your overall rating.
Delivered a great shift experience? We encourage you to invite employers to leave a rating after each completed shift. Employer feedback helps ensure the quality of your work is recognised, accurately reflected in your FastGig rating, and allows exceptional giggers to stand out and unlock more opportunities and rewards.
